Who is impacted?

Millions in New York State!  An essential part of our economy is the food and agricultural industry.  Those dollars are the basis and heart of our great state.  Exploration of careers, technology, basics of farming and much more will enhance understanding of the economic and agricultural system and make a difference in our state’s future.

This tool will enable users to make everyday choices and decisions based on fact and understanding.

This is an innovative agri-educational tool that uses an interactive touch screen to engage the general public in a Q & A session. The system can operate 24 x 7 x 365 unattended.

The interactive display is not only eye-pleasing, but compliments agriculture and relates a true picture and creates an understanding via a first rate presentation.  The program includes ten categories (five on-screen for each game) with multiple choice and true-false questions in a “Jeopardy” style format.  Photographs enable the player a clear visual of all the agricultural categories. A rotating database of questions presents tremendous variety and differing game boards.   The pictures represent agriculture at its best and supply needed visuals for the consuming public.

The display area on the front panel provides an area where the sponsor is recognized.

We need a variety of avenues to educate the general population. The Kiosk Project allows us to reach a broad audience with diverse agricultural education.  By utilizing a computer touch screen and technology we are able to attract an entire sector that is presently caught up in various computer technologies.  There is no other product like this for agriculture, and we need to be on the cutting edge whenever possible.

This project impacts agricultural understanding throughout the entire year.  The portability and security of the design allows us to utilize this kiosk easily throughout New York State.  This resource is serving as a model for other states and entities, supplementing the customary “agritainment/agri-education” agriculture has used in the past.  We now have a generic “Ag Master” being used in Illinois!

Our Kiosk Information Sheet has details about this great tool. Find out how to put an Ag Master Kiosk to use for you here. Find a list of exhibit materials here
